The parties have asked for state mediators - the SDU challenges the company's decision to retroactively cut off payment to it's local chairman
2016-11-25 On Thursday, the Swedish Dockworkers' Union and APM Terminals Gothenburg (represented by the employers association Ports of Sweden) sent a joint request for mediation to the Swedish National Mediation Office.
The union has offered to freeze all industrial action when talks with state mediators start.
The SDU is now awaiting a response from the Swedish National Mediation Office.
Simultanously, the union has demanded a local negotiation, challenging the company's decision on Monday to retroactively cut payment for the SDU Local 4 chairman from the 4th of November.
