Arbetet har nu återupptagits på APM Terminals Gothenburg efter Hamnarbetarförbundets åtta timmar långa arbetsnedläggelse under tisdagen.
Under dagen har avdelningen mottagit ett antal fina solidaritetsbudskap från andra arbetargrupper, inte minst ett uppskattat stöduttalande från Vårdförbundet Västra Götaland. En lokal stödgrupp har under kvällen delat ut flygblad om hamnkonflikten i centrala Göteborg och i Stockholm anordnades en protestaktion utanför Svenskt Näringsliv. Deltagarna diskuterade situationen på APM Terminals Gothenburg med Svenskt Näringslivs vice VD Peter Jeppson och Sveriges Hamnars VD Joakim Ährlund. Hamnarbetarförbundets medlemmar vill tacka för allt stöd.
På kvällens medlemsmöte diskuterade bolagets senaste manöver på arbetsplatsen. Som väntat upphör den s.k. "80/20-uppgörelsen" att gälla från mitten av april efter att APM Terminals, med majoritetsfacket utestängt från förhandlingsrummen, nu sagt upp avtalet.
Bolaget försöker därmed luckra upp anställningstryggheten på arbetsplatsen genom att öppna upp för ett ännu större utnyttjande av övertid och osäkra anställningar på bekostnad av fasta jobb.
Imorgon inleds även varselförhandlingar där arbetsgivaren hotar med att säga upp 24-30 fastanställda och ungefär lika många visstidsanställda hamnarbetare med hänvisning till påstådd arbetsbrist. Nästan samtliga av de uppsägningshotade hamnarbetarna är medlemmar i Hamn4an, men APM Terminals har för avsikt att utestänga majoritetsfacket från att företräda dem vid förhandlingsbordet.
Ett enhälligt medlemsmöte gav på tisdagskvällen avdelningsstyrelsen mandat att varsla om ytterligare stridsåtgärder i konflikten, samt att då hemställa om sympatiåtgärder både nationellt och internationellt genom International Dockworkers' Council.
Strejken har avlöpt lugnt under hela tisdagen.

Work has now resumed at APM Terminals Gothenburg after the Swedish Dockworkers' Union's eight-hour strike ended on Tuesday.
During the day, the SDU received a number of solidarity messages from fellow workers, among others a much appreciated solidarity statement from the Swedish Association of Health Professionals in the Västra Götaland region. A local support group handed out flyers in the central parts of Gothenburg and a protest against union-busting was staged outside the head office of the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise. The participants discussed the situation at APM Terminals Gothenburg with the Deputy General Director Peter Jeppson and the CEO of Ports of Sweden Joakim Ährlund. The members of SDU Local 4 are very grateful for the support.
At tonight's membership assembly, the union members discussed the company's latest move. As predicted, the so called "80/20 Agreement" has been terminated by the company and will cease to be valid by mid-April this year.
The APM Terminals' management is seeking to reduce employment security in the workplace by opening up for increased use of overtime and casual labour at the expense of permanent employment contracts.
On Wednesday, redundancy talks are scheduled to begin in the terminal. APM Terminals Gothenburg is threatening to lay off som 24-30 steadily employed dockworkers and about as many now working on temporary contracts. Almost all of the dockworkers affected are members of the SDU Local 4, but the company's intent is to shut the majority union out from the negotiations, denying the SDU members union representation.
The SDU membership assembly decided unanimously to give the local board the mandate to step up industrial action in the dispute, and to request solidarity action both nationally and internationally (through the IDC).
There were no incidents or disturbances during today's strike.
